MUMBAI: Lisa Ray married her long-standing soul-mate Jason Dehni on October 20 at an exclusive wedding ceremony in Napa Valley in California.Says Lisa excitedly, “Our service was non-denominational. It didn’t belong to any religion, and we wrote our own vows. We did garland each other as part of the ceremony which was my father’s request. The sangeet the night before was a fantastic success and way for all our guests to celebrate my Bengali/Indian culture as well as a little touch of Lebanon with a surprise dance by a belly dancer.”

Adds the radiant Mrs Dehni, “It was an auspicious date, as this year October 20th marks the beginning of Durga Puja. My uncle in Calcutta pointed this out to my father and we’re even more delighted as it’s a divine coincidence. My husband Jason is a banking executive at Scotiabank, currently working in International Wealth Management. We were married in Napa Valley, which is significant as it’s where we got engaged.“The night before is our sangeet was hosted by my dear friends Noni and Kiran. It had Indian flavour with a Napa setting which means wonderful food and wine and the California weather. October is Harvest season in Napa so it’s the best time of year.”
